Rice and fish (not too much fish though as is too rich) more rice to bulk the cat I thinkI need complete and healthy recipes for homemade cat food.?
Can fish, add bread, mix and serve, its probably more nurtritious then their can food.If you have vegetable left-overs and meat left overs just mix it together and serve.
If you are cooking at home for yourself and your family (';out of scratch';)or close to that) there is no reason not to share it (especially meats andairies with your cat, too. (except chicken with sharp bones in it). I know it sounds like something primitive and terrible - open your mind.
Humans have fed their cats and dogs with their leftovers for 10.000-ths of years, and they grew up and lived just like ours or - I suspect - they were even healthier. Petfood companies - like any other corporations who are present on the stock market - need to make profit, and the profit has to grow continously in order to keep their investors happy. That means they have to use the cheapest ingredients to sell them on a competitive price. In order to grow their sales they spread the ';scientific fact'; that human food is harmful for pets. We are buying their products, feeding our cats with crap, and we all are succesfully brainwashed to accept it.. :-(
Go with the natural way - less chance to fail..
Feline Future makes a supplement that you can add to your ground meat, bone and organs. That's a pretty simple recipe!
There's also a Yahoo group for that product.
We buy offal from the butchers and add rice or oats and any left over veg that we have. Carrots, Peas (but not too many) potato (mashed) Not chips (they wont eat them) Gravy, No bread. a/ it courses soft-pad b/ many animals or wheat intolerant. Cauliflower, Cabbage
If there is anything in ther that the cat does not like it will eat around and you will soon find it's preferences
How about Mice
