Can you help?
My favorite website for recipe ideas is www.allrecipes.com. You can put in ingredients that you have or want and it will search recipes with those ingredients. Plus, I really like reading the reviews. Many reviewers will use healthier alternatives to many of the recipes and offer good advice. Good luck.
if you want to eat healthier. breakfast is where you should start.

as it can effect greatly the way you eat thru out the day. and so its worth looking into

VEGETABLES MACEDOINE :

A bag of frozen peas (or fresh peas)

1/2 a bag of baby carrots (fresh)

2-3 white potatoes (fresh)

2 onions

1 pack of salted pork (diced, without the white fat)

Butter

In a pot, put the butter, the sliced onions and the diced pork.

Add the frozen peas and bay leaves. About 10 minutes after, the diced potatoes,

and 5 minutes after the carots.

Cook until the vegetable are cook the way you like

LEEKS GRATIN :

For 6 leeks :

Clean and boil the leeks for about 8 minutes.

On the side, make a sauce like this : 30 grams of flour

30 grams of butter

salt %26amp; pepper

a touch of nutmeg

1/2 liter of whole milk

In a pot, melt the butter, add the flour and when golden a little,

add the milk, salt, pepper and nutmeg.

With a wisk, mix it all. Then use a wooden spoon until the sauce is thick.

It takes a little while, but don't stop stiring.

Put a little of the sauce in the an long oven dish to cover the bottom,

then lay the leeks and

pour the rest of the sauce all over.

Add the shredded gruy猫re on top (trust me, this cheese is the best

if you need melted cheese, and you can find it in every supermarkets),

put in the oven until

the cheese is golden, checking on the leeks, they can't be too cooked.

You can do the same gratin with :

-Big macaroni (again boil the pasta first, just that when keeping

on cooking in the oven they won't be over cooked, put in oven dish, pour sauce,

gruy猫re on top, oven at 380掳)

- cauliflower

Some quick easy inexpensive things I keep in rotation and always have the ingredients on hand for are

Marzetti or Goulash

2 lb ground chuck

2 jars spaghetti sauce (or make your own)

1 green pepper chopped

1 onion chopped

garlic ( I use fresh and to my taste, you can use granulated if that is all you have)

Elbow macaroni 1 lb box cooked and drained

(on occasion I also use 1 package of smoked sausage)

Brown the ground chuck, drain fat, add chopped green pepper, onion and garlic. Add in spaghetti sauce after veggies are tender. Lastly add macaroni. Mix all together and simmer for about 15 minutes. Serve with green salad and bread. Simple, filling, and delish. Like I said, I occasionally add smoked sausage. I fry it first then add it in with the veggies. Add salt and pepper to taste but I never need it.

Meatloaf- I make this as well as it is quick and it tastes great.

2 lb ground chuck

1 15 oz can Manwich BOLD

1 green pepper

1 onion

about 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs (or plain with seasoning you like added)

1 egg

garlic powder

pepper

about 1 tbsp bbq sauce

about 1 tbsp steak sauce

Mix all ingredients except 1/4 of the can of Manwich, bbq sauce and steak sauce. Form into a loaf and bake @ 350 for an hour. With the remaining Manwich sauce, bbq and steak sauce, mix them all together then pour over the meatloaf and bake 15 minutes longer.

This is so simple but everyone that has it loves it! My sister frequently asks me to make this.

Another one

Swiss baked chicken

4-6 chicken breasts

1-2 cans cream of mushroom or any cream soup you like or a mix of two different

swiss cheese

crushed crackers, bread crumbs or french fried onions (French's) or some other crusty topping

Brown chicken breast on each side on stovetop. Transfer to a 13X9 baking dish. Mix your soup up and pour over chicken breast. Top each breast with a slice of swiss, then sprinkle your crackers over and bake until chicken is done, cheese is melty and crackers are golden. Simple but is delicious and quick.
Fake French Toast

2 eggs

1 TBS water

1 pkt Splenda

dash of cinnimon

Beat the eggs (by hand is fine) in a small bowl. Add the rest and beat some more. Spray a small fry pan with your favorite spray. Heat on medium high until a drop of water would sizzle. Pour eggs into pan and cover. Cook until set. (Covering the pan makes this light and fluffy.)

Serve immediately with a little no sugar syrup ...

cabbage soup. I use short ribs meat, onion, garlic, celery, potato and of course the cabbage, and let it simmer. Add beef stock or bouillon cubes for taste.
sure I can! eat fresh, nothing from boxes or cans. I would suggest to add to your diet extra virgin olive oil olive.
Steak with steamed veggies
