frozen fruit, milk or soymilk, and protein powder if you want the extra protein. (using frozen fruit gives you a better flavor than using ice). I like cutting bananas into 1-inch long pieces when the banana starts getting too ripe, and throwing the pieces in a zip lock in the freezer. The frozen bananas give smoothies a really good texture.What are some really good Healthy Smoothie Recipes.?
i don't have exact proportions-i just toss it in!
start with 2 big scoops of plain nonfat yogurt.
add a banana, some strawberries, peaches, mango anything!
add some wheat germ/flax seed/peanut butter (for banana)
add some milk or juice
if you're not afraid of salmonella add a raw egg.
ice cubes are good too.
blend till smooth, and enjoy!
